Springtime flowers

I decided to stay with the flower theme that we have going here and make a cute seed packet card.  I usually always make my cards around the same size, but decided to change it up a bit and make a taller card this time.  Have I told you I love the seed packet stamp from Two Paper Divas?  Okay, I'm kind of obsessed with it!  I decided to use some fun, spring papers with a little polka dots, green check and floral prints.
I added a little detail to the top corners and also to the bottom with some fringed tissue.  Using a little pocket, I added a tag with some ribbon behind the seed packet stamp for a little extra message, if you like.
I popped the oval on the seed packet, the friendship grows (also from the seed packet stamp set) message and added a few pearls.  Bling was added to the flower centers (gotta add a little glitter somewhere!)

Thanks for stopping by Kirby's Kards!  Make it a great day!

The Flowers are Blooming

It's still a little early in the season, but I wanted to share a few photos of our flowers.  Can you tell I'm obsessed with orange?

Here's our little bench that sits by our front door.  I enjoy decorating it for each season.  As you can see, I'm going with the gardening theme right now.  Hope you have some time to spend outside getting your hands dirty.  We've really enjoyed planting some new flowers this spring.  More photos to come later in the season.

Make it a great day!

The Great Outdoors

Cattails...I remember these along the Smoky Hill River that runs behind my parent's house.  So neat, just love being outside!  Check out this card I made with a new set of stamps from Two Paper Divas called "God's Creation."
There's several stamps to pick from in this set, all beautiful.  I first stamped the grass in an olive color and then added the brown cattails to a few.  I popped up the adorable little butterfly, added some burlap and green ribbon at the bottom with an olive button and twine.  I added a brown leaf stickpin as well.  I decided to use half of the saying on the front of the card and the other half on the inside (The grass withers, The flower fades, but the WORD of our GOD stands forever.)  Love that quote!
Using some green and brown paper to layer, that just finished off this card.  I sure hope this card reminds you of some wonderful memories of being outside.  Take some time to enjoy some sunshine today too.

Make it a great day!

Lovin' All These Flowers

We've been busy at our house planting some perennials and annuals to give a little curb appeal.  So, when I saw this seed packet image on Pinterest I just had to print it out.  I'm loving all the oranges this year.
I used a little green and cream polka dot paper, a paper doily and some brown paper.  Gotta add a cute burlap and green stitched bow with a little cream twine, an orange button to pop that color and a little green leaf stickpin.  I used two stamps from Two Paper Divas for this card.  The first is the Friendship Grows stamp from the Seed Packet stamp set and the second is a Thank You stamp from Banners #1 .  I finished off the bottom with some cream felt hearts and pearls (of course!)
Thanks again for stopping by Kirby's Kards today.

Make it a great day!

Buy Me Some Peanuts and Crackerjacks...

What a beautiful day for some baseball, a hot dog and some nachos!  Yum!

Check out this "man card" I made for my brother, Levi, for his birthday.  (Cards for guys are the most difficult for me, no bows, flowers or pearls.  C'mon now!)  I used papers from the Graphic 45 line "Good Ol' Sport" which I thought worked great for all those sport fans.
I used some striped and plaid paper, a score card and a couple vintage baseball images.  To finish it off, I added a few wooden buttons with twine, two flags in the top left corner and a Happy Birthday stamp from Two Paper Divas.  I also ripped the edges of all the papers to give it an older look.  Hope your birthday is extra special, bro!  Love ya!
Thanks for checking out Kirby's Kards today.  Make it a great day!

Just for You

I'm super excited to be part of the Two Paper Divas design team.  Here's my very first project: a cute mason jar "Just for You" card.  I used the Mason Jar Stamp, the jar topper and words are from the Jar Access #3 and the cherries came from the Seed Packet Fillers.  These clear stamps are absolutely amazing and such high quality!  They stamp perfect every time...be sure to check them out!
The background for the card is a worn newspaper-like paper, topped with a teal polka dot cherry paper and some scalloped red paper at the bottom.  I like to jazz things up a bit with some pearls (love those things as they remind me of my Grandma Margaret and the pearls she use to wear) and red buttons with twine.  Around the red and white check jar lid, I wrapped some cream twine and topped my bow with a petite red and white flower.  I glued some eyelet below the jar lid as well and topped it off with a little "Homemade Just for You" tag.  Finally, it wouldn't be complete without some bling, so I used some red glitter on the cherries that I cut out.

Thanks for stopping by to check out "Kirby's Kards."  A huge hug and thank you goes out to Melissa Rodgers, who designed the banner for this blog (it's so me!) and spent several hours helping me get started.
Make it a great day!
